Transportation

IWU offers service-oriented hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation. Our drivers receive extensive DOT technical and regulatory training. All drivers are road-tested and subject to random drug and alcohol testing. We hold regularly scheduled safety meetings with all technical personnel to discuss the latest risk management information and review topics discussed in prior meetings.

All IWU drivers use Electronic Logging Devices to track their hours of service. These devices improve commercial motor vehicle safety and ensure accurate record keeping.

We understand the importance of operating properly maintained equipment and providing comprehensively trained personnel. We maintain our equipment and train our personnel to the highest standards to reduce your risk and minimize the long-term liability associated with waste transportation.

At the beginning of each shift, our drivers are required to fill out a detailed vehicle inspection report prior to leaving the IWU facility. Regular vehicle maintenance schedules are closely adhered to and repairs are completed prior to the vehicle returning to the fleet.

We own and operate a diverse fleet of vehicles that are capable of transporting any type of waste material. Our transportation fleet includes the following types of vehicles:
  • Roll-off trucks
  • Vacuum trucks
  • End dump trucks
  • Van trailers
  • Flatbed trailers
  • Box van trucks
